Where are we?

Due to the convenience of its North York location, CareerView can easily service clients and candidates all over the Greater Metropolitan Toronto area stretching from Mississauga and Brampton in the west, Scarborough to the east, Markham to the north, and downtown Toronto to the south. CareerView also offers services in recruitment on a Canada-wide basis.

In what areas do we specialize?

CareerView currently concentrates in the placement of permanent and contract staff. CareerView recruits for a wide variety of positions ranging from clerical, secretarial and administrative to, accounting, human resources, information technology, middle management and executive search. CareerView has the expertise to recruit personnel fluently bilingual in both of Canada’s official languages for all placement types.

How do we recruit?

CareerView will undertake whatever means necessary to conduct a thorough employment search on behalf of its clients. We recognize that today’s smart businesses are utilizing the services of search companies in order to ensure more expeditious, efficient and cost effective hiring decisions. As a result, if required, CareerView will advertise nationwide and, if advantageous, worldwide. We will network via all workable means to source the appropriate hire. In addition, we realize that finding the perfect candidate goes a lot further than sending people with the requisite hard skills. Today’s business requires soft skills to the same, if not greater degree, than hard skills. We will send you people who match and mirror your corporate philosophy. Your employment needs are our priority.

What are our standards?

CareerView conducts thorough reference checks on all candidates being considered for hire within client companies. Clients are provided with at least 2 favourable reference checks and, where required by a client, additional references will be conducted. Reference questions are asked that verify the applicant's work history, job performance, reliability, ability to meet deadlines, capacity and willingness to learn, as well as other questions that relate directly to the position for which the individual has applied.

Where appropriate, applicants are given a series of tests to determine proficiency in their respective skills categories and in accordance with the position for which they have applied. Equipment used in testing includes the QWIZ Office Skills Assessment System which is a sophisticated IBM compatible software package that assesses an individual's keyboarding and software skills through a series of exercises. QWIZ has the capacity to test proficiency on most of the popular software programs.

Based on the results of our in-depth interview and , where appropriate, skills testing, an assessment is made to determine the suitability of the applicant to the position for which they have applied or for any other potential position.

Do we guarantee our placements?

If, for any reason whatsoever, a client feels within the first 3 months that a permanent employee is not suitable, a replacement employee will be sourced for the client by CareerView at no additional charge. In the case of a contract employee, the guarantee will be prorated according to the length of the contract.

What are our ethics?

The interaction and relationship between a search service and its clients comprises only one side of the hiring equation. Equally important is the manner in which a placement agency treats its candidates and employees.

At CareerView, we recognize that people are our greatest resource and, as such, all applicants of CareerView are treated with respect and, whenever possible, are placed in positions that will further their career growth and development. We believe that honesty is the best policy and we will inform our applicants should we feel they are not suited to the position for which they have applied. We feel good only when our clients and applicants are satisfied with the service we have provided.

CareerView will not disclose the name of the client company to any candidate unless and until the client agrees to meet with the candidate.
