East end based company seeking an Accounting Manager to handle many aspects of the accounting process including: consolidated monthly reporting and analysis, web sales postings and credit card reconciliations, tax filings, general ledger postings, bank reconciliations and general journal entries, accruals and prepaids and variance analysis and narratives. As well responsibilities include reviewing and assisting with payroll, assisting with preparation of budgets/forecasts, preparation of audit working papers and other duties as required.
Must have an accounting designation (or in final stages) and previous experience with APSE along with proficiency in excel (in areas such as V Look Ups, Pivot tables, macros and embedded or nested functions). Previous experience processing hourly and salaried payroll is preferred as the incumbent might eventually own this function along with other areas such as A/R and A/P. Must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills. To $80K

Our downtown Client is currently seeking a fluently bilingual (French and English) Receptionist/Admin Assistant to be the first point of contact for the organization. The successful candidate will be a natural at handling the reception area in a courteous and professional manner demonstrating outstanding interpersonal skills at all times. Also required for success in this role is the ability to handle a variety of administrative responsibilities in a fast paced environment. Strong proficiency in MS Office is required as are superior communication skills in both written and oral French and English. You will deal with members, external guests and committee members and will be required to book meetings along with all accompanying logistics. To $45K and defined benefit pension plan.

Disability Case Manager-STD and LTD

Our dynamic mid town insurance client is seeking a Disability Case Manager to proactively and effectively handle a portfolio of benefit claims for short and long term disability insurance. Key areas of responsibility will include: analyzing all relevant information to determine company obligations such as: contract provisions, medical proof, non-medical factors, government programs, legislation, internal policies and procedures etc.; contacting all the agents involved in a given file to obtain all relevant information and providing them with the decisions and action plans related to settlement requests; making appropriate and careful selection and use of internal and external interventions (cases referred to company consulting physicians, the supervisor, a rehabilitation firm, a medical expert, a residual capacities evaluation firm, an investigation firm, a reinsurer, etc.);interacting with external agents so that they respect the objectives and budgets provided and make sure the intervention is progressing well; developing and implementing interventions that reduce the duration of disabilities. The successful candidate will have: a minimum of three years of experience in disability claims adjudication and management with a life insurance company; a strong knowledge of insurance contracts; outstanding communications skills (oral & written); excellent analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills; a strong ability to adapt to change and quickly integrate new knowledge; an ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities as well as a willingness to collaborate in reaching common objectives. Journeyman Electrician

Mid town long established HVAC company is currently seeking a licensed electrician (Journeyman) to assist the Master electrician and to supervise an electrical Apprentice. Must have the 309A license as well as extensive residential electrical experience. Understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code Book is essential. Duties will include installing and servicing panels, removing knobs and tubes, and repairs. Excellent communication skills, superior customer service and professionalism are required for this role.

HVAC Installation Technician

Mid town well established HVAC company is currently seeking an HVAC Installation Technician with a Gas 2 license and preferably the 313D certification. Good communication skills are essential as well as absolute reliability. Must be keen to continually upgrade knowledge. To $30 per hour.

Lead Eavestrough Installer
